    Nate Arnett, 4-H Educator at Adventure Central was recognized with the 2019 Lifer Excellence in Extension Award at the OSU Extension annual conferece in Columbus. Arnett was honored for his accomplishments in promoting workforce development, service to colleagues and leading efforts at Adventure Central, the program that partners with Five Rivers MetroParks to provide positive youth development opportunities for Dayton youth.

    The 2019 4-H Achievement Award winners spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Atlanta representing Ohio at the National 4-H Congress.The 27 delegates participated in leadership activities, heard from motivational speakers, met 4-H'ers from all over the US and completed a service project. Congratulations to these #TrueLeaders!

  5. Kirk Bloir Named State 4-H Leader

    The new Ohio 4-H state leader is a familiar face! Kirk Bloir has served as the interim director since September 2018 and was recently named to the position permanently. In this role, Dr. Bloir will provide overall leadership to the Ohio 4-H program. He said, “Ohio State University Extension is blessed to have a talented and dedicated group of 4-H professionals, volunteers, and community supporters across the state.

  6. 4-H'ers Mooo-ved to Action

    Licking County 4-H members brought their Citizenship: Washington Focus experience back to their county with the action plan they created as part of their CWF experience. Their goal was to share the importance of the dairy industry by promoting products and the significance of dairy in a healthy diet. Van Buren Acres, a local farm, hosted the delegates where they shared dairy-themed games and activities with more than 300 people.

  8. Celebration of Youth

    More than 250 people attended this year's Celebration of Youth on Oct. 12 with special guest speaker Katie Smith, Ohio 4-H alumna from Logan County, member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and current WNBA coach.This year more than $104,000 was raised to support Ohio 4-H programs, including $18,000 to send 18 youth to the National 4-H Healthy Living Summit. Thanks to all for supporting Ohio 4-H and inspiring kids to do!

    The recipient of the 2018 Excellence in 4-H Award is Lisa McCutcheon, Extension Educator in Licking County.  The award, funded through the Charles W. Lifer Excellence in 4-H Fund, is dedicated to the recognition of outstanding professionals who serve as examples in setting standards of excellence in County 4-H programs.
