Dairy Quiz Bowls - 2008
Hoard's Dairyman Quiz Bowl at World Dairy Expo
An Ohio 4-H team was represented at the Hoard's Dairyman Quiz Bowl at World Dairy Expo on Saturday, October 4th. Placing third overall, the team members were Laura Gordon (OSU Freshman), Eileen Gress, Kathy Phillips, and Kyle Schirm. The team arrived at 1:00 a.m. and was ready to compete by 7:00 a.m. the following morning. Volunteer coaches were Lisa Gress of Shreve and Julie Martig of Salem. This group provided plenty of excitement for spectators as the rounds were extremely close in points and Ohio also forced a tie breaker that eventually finished to our advantage.
