The Ohio 4-H Workforce Preparation Initiative was developed to strengthen and expand programs designed to prepare youth with skills for the future.

Workforce Preparation Day State Fair Resources & Tools

Included here you will find information to assist you in advertising and selecting 4-H members to represent your county during Workforce Preparation Day at the Ohio State Fair. (4.16.2008)

 

 

Changes for 2008:

  • You can send as many 4-H members to the state fair as you would like (you don't have to limit it to 2).
  • 4-H'ers get to select a job to interview for instead of being required to interview for one position.
  • 4-H'ers can directly register for the event (or you can encourage them to register)
  • Registration is due by JULY 20th, 2008.

  • Posters (These are designed for 11 x 17 paper - they are geared towards advertising Workforce Preparation Day to your 4-H youth. Post them in your office or at special events.)
  • Flyers (These are designed for 8.5 x 11 paper - they are geared towards advertising Workforce Preparation Day to your 4-H Youth. Post them in your office, include them in a newsletter, send them to clubs to distribute as flyers, post them on your website, etc).
  • Enhanced Podcast - Visit our Knowledge Economy website for a podcast that you can show at 4-H events to increase the visibility and knowledge of WFP Day at the Ohio State Fair.
