4-H Volunteers...

Each year, more than 20,000 adults give their time, energy, and talents to develop and implement hands-on educational programs with youth. Volunteers serve as community club leaders, special event coordinators, chaperones, fundraisers, community advocates, and much more.
A significant component of all Extension professionals time is devoted to identifying, selecting, orientating, training, utilizing, recognizing, and evaluating volunteers. It is critical that 4-H professionals have the tools and resources to be successful in administering a volunteer program.
Volunteers also need tools and resources to strengthen their knowledge and skills to effectively lead local programs. Volunteers can find resources focusing on strengthening their 4-H clubs, organizing a recognition program, ideas on fundraising to support the program, and much, much more.
