Alive in the Classroom
Looking for ways to introduce your students to the world of agriculture and life science? Interested in improving your science teaching skills and expanding your collection of science activities that are keyed to state standards? Join us for a hands-on exploration of the latest in agriculture and life science programs for 3rd -6th grade classrooms.
This week-long course is devoted to the creative and integrated instruction of agriculture and life science topics. Special emphasis will be placed on practical experiences that teachers can immediately use with their students. Each session is taught by Dr.Bob Horton,OSU Professor of Agricultural Science Education,along with various other experts in the field of Agriculture in the Classroom programming.
Topics include:
• Monday: Plants, Soil & Water
• Tuesday: Fish & Fowl
• Wednesday: Dairy & Nutrition
• Thursday: Weather & Forces
• Friday: Classroom Connections
