GOALS

Have fun sharing what you know about making healthy choices related to good hygiene, healthy eating and being active. Whether you like working with numbers, playing sports, drawing, singing, writing stories, or being funny, share your commitment to staying healthy with others in the way you enjoy.

  • Learning about where germs hide and how to avoid them
  • Sharing information about hair, skin, nails, teeth, ears and eye care
  • Recognizing nutrient rich "power foods"
  • Creating and eating healthy snacks
  • Thinking about what you eat in a new way, using "I Cues"
  • Measure your own flexibility, strength, and endurance
  • Prepare a list of Real World Survival Tips to share
  • Using your gifts and talents, "smarts," to share what you learn

LEARNER OUTCOMES

This curriculum will help you complete a self-assessment to identify personal talent areas, your "smarts." You will explore hygiene, nutrition, and physical activity topics, share what you learn using a new understanding of your personal interests and talents, and practice a variety of life skills including organizing information, making decisions, thinking creatively, reasoning, communicating, and managing self.
