GOALS A commitment to being active, eating right and keeping physically fit include activities to enjoy and share with others. Design and manage your own fitness plans, keep your fitness information on file, and develop computer skills or other creative ways to present information. Additional goals of this project include:
- Completing a self-assessment about your current knowledge of fitness information and personal fitness levels
- Interviewing others about the benefits of fitness
- Monitoring your own eating and hydration habits
- Recognizing nutrient rich "pwer foods"
- Investigating supplements and performance enhancers
- Planning personal warm-up routines to help remain injury free
- Designing your own fitness plan
- Keeping your fitness records on file in a format to share with others
LEARNER OUTCOMES This curriculum will help you design a personal fitness plan and track it using your own fitness file. You will also practice a variety of life skills including gathering information, making decisions, speaking with others and managing yourself. By gathering and keeping fitness information on file, you will have the opportunity to develop and use computer skills or present information in other creative ways that best suit each individual.
