Ohio 4-H Blue Ribbon Youth Enrollment Support

Martech has corrected the ASCII Mailing List issue.

What needs to be done:

1. Make sure no one is in the Youth Enrollment program.

2. Download and save the Winyouth ASCII Fix.zip folder.

3. Extract the zip document.

4. Select all extracted files and copy/replace the existing files located in the C:\PROGRAM FILES\YOUTH ENROLLMENT program files folder.

Once you are finished copying in the files. The zipped document is no longer needed. You can do whatever you wish with it.

NOTE: These files are only for the County Youth Enrollment program.

Installation Tips
The current release of the software is compatible with the 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions of Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Use this one if you currently have Youth Enrollment version 2.6 installed on your computer. This one will upgrade the program from 2.6 to 3.0.

32 bit operating system install

To install the upgrade for version 3.0 (on a Microsoft Windows 32 bit computer) click on the following link: Youth Enrollment upgrade:from version 2.6 to 3.0

Save the file to your computer and install the program from there.

An incremental update is not the same as a Full New installation, or an Upgrade Installation.

An incremental update is just a small "patch" to the software. Also, the latest incremental update is cumulative,

and thus will always contain all "patches" required since the last major release of your software.

Incremental updates are delivered as a simple self-extracting .Zip file, and requires very little effort to install.

We highly recommend you keep your software current, by installing the latest incremental updates as they become available.

What to do before you install this upgrade!!!!!

The lastested version of Youth Enrollment should be version 3.01.09.1116 -If your version is 3.01.09.0522 you need to perform one of the following updates:

32 bit OS Use this one

For 32-Bit Operating Systems

Before installing any software update to the Blue Ribbon Youth Enrollment program, close down all programs that are currently running on your computer. This also includes any programs, such as virus scanners, etc, that you may have running in the background. Programs that are open at the time of a software update, may interfere with the proper installation of a software update. If you are running the software on a network, make sure the Blue Ribbon Youth Enrollment software is closed on ALL computers before installing.

Important Notes:

Installing the incremental update over any other versions than the 3.00.09.0323 (x86) system program or later will make your system unusable. If you have any questions, please contact our Help Desk before proceeding with this update.

To install the update, please follow these steps:

1. Click on Youth Enrollment Incremental Update (x86) 3.00.09.0323 to 3.01.09.1116 and Save it to your desktop.

2. Double click on the Youth Enrollment Incremental Update (x86) 3.00.09.0323 to 3.01.09.1116.exe icon saved on your desktop, the self-extracting file will open.

3. Click on Ok to start the installation.

4. There will be several updated program files installed.

5. You can verify the software update was properly installed by starting Blue Ribbon Youth Enrollment, and clicking on Help-About. You will see the file name wyext1.dll. The date displayed to the right of wyext1.dll will be November 16, 2009.

If you are running the software on a network, you MUST install the software update on all the networked computers.

64 bit OS Use this one

To install a new version 2.6 of Youth Enrollment click on the following link: Youth Enrollment 2.60.0720 New Install with Vista

Save the file to your computer and install the program from there.

Save the file to your computer and install the program from there.

- This patch will fix the problem with version 3.0 to allow you to add clubs, activities and awards to mulitple youth at one time using the member query, corrects the problem of generating the correct email list when you want email address and labels and corrects the problem of adding "An Associated Activity" when you are in the project query.

Version 3.0 fix - version 3.01.09.1116 - from version 3.01.09.0522 32 bit OS

This patch will also correct the problem of making sure that all emails get pulled out when you go to do mailing labels and select the box to get a list of those with email addresses.
