Help Dreams Grow

A recent study is helping confirm what we already knew. The Tufts' 4-H Study of Positive Youth Development (PYD) is the first long term study to measure the characteristics that contribute to positive youth development. By measuring factors that influence a young person's development, the study found that youth involved in 4-H are more likely to thrive than those who are not. Involvement in programs such as 4-H during out-of-school time plays a critical role in helping youth succeed! Conducted by Tufts University and led by Richard M. Lerner, Ph.D., the study was sponsored by National 4-H Council and involves more than 4,000 youth and 2,000 parents from 25 states.
